Monaami is a second year UX Design graduate student in the Computer Graphics Technology Department at Purdue Polytechnic. Her research interests lie in user experience, psychology, disability justice, sexual diversity studies. She has done her undergraduate in Computer Engineering.

Her current project, “Practicing Creative Arts for Emotional Self-Regulation,” aims to understand how creative expression is a way to foster emotional well-being. It involves exploring how various creative arts modalities can positively impact individuals’ emotions, providing innovative solutions for user experience design. “Queer Affirming Creative Arts Therapies,” delves into the intersection of creative arts therapies and the LGBTQ+ community, exploring how these therapies can be tailored to be inclusive and affirming.
